E-Mail Continuity

Never lose an e-mail again from a down server, power outage, loss of internet, or natural disaster. If your e-mail server goes down or is unable to connect to the internet, your e-mail can automatically be transferred to another server so that you don’t lose it.

How E-Mail Continuity works: The e-mail to your domain is routed first to your mail server. If your mail server is not available, the e-mail is automatically rerouted to MXS servers located in a state of the art data center with limited access. Every few hours, MXS checks to see if your server is online again. Once your server is back on line, stored messages are returned to your server. Messages are held for a maximum of 14 days from arrival which is usually more than enough time to get your e-mail server running again.

Computer Partners sets up the MXS service and if you provide remote access, we will verify that the service is still running once each month. Multiple domains may be grouped under a single account, but are charged on a per domain basis. Storage space is not capped nor is there an additional charge for the amount of storage space used. Messages are only rerouted to MXS if an e-mail server is not online. Thus, if a server is online and receiving requests, any messages not processed correctly or rejected by that server will not be sent to MXS.
